Volunteering @ Garfield Community Farm

For over a decade, Garfield Community Farm has been restoring nearly three acres of abandoned and degraded urban land to become one of  Pittsburgh’s most productive and active urban farms.

Now that the weather is warming up, we've got the chance to roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty (literally), and fully experience the intersection between plants, spirituality, and community development at the farm, which provides fresh produce and educational opportunities and seeks to demonstrate God's restoration of creation  through urban agriculture in the Garfield community.

This will be a great capstone to our Herbology series. We can reflect on what we learned during that winter series while contributing to the good work of Garfield Community Farm.
