About the Event
It feels like there is a lot at stake for our country right now. When a situation seems too big or out of our control, some things that can help us feel like we have a handle on it are learning good information, talking about our feelings, and taking concrete action. So as the election approaches, we are going to meet for intentional conversation, mutual support, and taking action for the common good.
At our first session, we’re gonna get all our thoughts and feelings about the election out on the table while making some art. And then in the following weeks we'll discern what we feel called to focus on as individuals and as a church. Mike and Erin have curated a collection of resources about white Christian nationalism, the 2025 Project, and the politics of Pentecost that we can use. In the end, we'll brainstorm a menu of individual and collective actions for the common good that we can choose from. And we'll continue to meet so we can encourage each other and reflect on the actions we're taking!
