About the Event
Have you heard of the Netflix hit miniseries Midnight Mass? If you have, you might have also heard some buzz from the ex-evangelical world about it: the terror show is not distinctly Christian, but contains many Christian themes and even notes on deconstruction.
For Lent this year, Commonwealth is watching Midnight Mass together with accompanying guided discussions (eerily and rather conveniently, the show follows the pattern of Lent)! Join us on Mondays starting March 14th for a watch party at 7PM, followed by a debrief at 8PM where we’ll pick apart symbolism and character development to discover what the creators are trying to tell us about faith, family, and tradition. See you there!
P.S. If watching horror is not your thing, you can skip the screening and sit in on the discussion starting at 8pm!
