Advent Book Study

Friends!  We are putting our heads and hearts together with Hot Metal Bridge  Faith Community to read Elle Dowd's Baptized in Tear Gas: From White  Moderate to Abolitionist for the season of Advent! Mike and both Erins  are very excited to be offering this new text in a new kind of  partnership, AND at a new time! Note that we will be meeting Mondays at 8PM.

Dowd's  book is both accessible and powerful, and we're curious and  enthusiastic about the kind of conversations it will generate within us  and between our congregations.  So come along: explore with us Elle's  journey through her perception of police and community care, and see  what that path may have in store for your own beliefs. What fears and  pressures exist for you in that headspace? What does our faith ask of us  in spite of our fears? Let's dig in. Elle Dowd herself will even be  joining us for a session! See you there!
